Meet Seldon’s new Senior Product Manager, driving forward our data science capabilities

Hi everyone! Over the last two months, I have been settling into my new role at Seldon as Senior Product Manager Data Science AI. It has been a great experience so far, and I have enjoyed collaborating with our data science, engineering, and commercial teams.

As a key part of the Product team, I am working on Seldon’s 2022 product roadmap delivery. We are building the global infrastructure for Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) across serving, monitoring, and explainability. At the moment, my primary focus is building monitoring solutions informed by state-of-the-art research

Currently, applying complex data science components to track ML systems’ health and data quality requires extensive training in statistics and coding experience. I aim to make an accessible product that democratises these skills for our users.

Before joining Seldon, I gained more than a decade of experience in the technology sector, working across product development and data science projects. My most recent career milestone was my tenure at Francis Crick Institute, working on data pipeline automation to utilise metabolism research for effective drug discovery. Product development and data science have always gone hand-in-hand, and my background in both areas heavily informs my role here at Seldon.

I am looking forward to adding tangible value to our customer base, whether that be addressing our customers’ pain points, understanding which models improve their business performance, or supporting new best practices implementation.

To ensure that our product suite is tailored to the evolving needs of our enterprise customers, I am actively working on customer discovery across Seldon Deploy, Alibi Detect, and Alibi Explain. This discovery will encompass the customer journey.

Joining a company at the rapid growth stage brings a lot of interesting day-to-day work. Seldon’s headcount has more than doubled in the last year and continues to grow. There is a clear plan to hire more product managers over the coming months. So, if you are interested in helping us shape the future, get in touch!

Commenting on Aleksandra’s appointment, Tanu Chellam – VP of Product, added:

“Having Aleksandra’s expertise in computer science and data science on board is essential as we continue to improve our product suite and customer satisfaction rates. She is passionate about using her experience as a data scientist to help our customers deploy machine learning models at scale, and is well-placed to boost the company’s own ability to communicate and collaborate internally across business functions. We’re excited to have Aleksandra established as a key part of the product team and can’t wait to see what she can deliver for our customers.”
